Guest guest
HI - both my sons have sensorineural hearing loss - the loss involves problems to the cochlea or the nerve endings in the cochlea. Many other parents here have children with sensorineural hearing loss (sometimes you'll see it abbreviated as SNHL). My boys both wear hearing aids. There are other types of hearing loss as well. The Listen-up website is the BIBLE for all things hearing loss related - and it's actually written in plain English! There's a great section on the basics here: http://listen-up.org/basics.htm That should help a bunch. wrote: >Hello, > >Thank you all for your kind welcomes and sharing your stories with me >and giving me encouragement, you are all very kind And very >helpfull!! Guest guest
I think thats a very common type of loss. Otherwise it would have to be a " structural " problem. I think. =) Tawnya Neurosensory Hearing Loss Question > >Hello, > >Thank you all for your kind welcomes and sharing your stories with me >and giving me encouragement, you are all very kind And very >helpfull!!
