Guest guest
>>>>>The thing with whooping cough is the mucus - it is never ending and just sits there until you cough - running down the back of your throat. It was really nasty. So if there is asthma or respiratory wheeze in the family, my feeling would be to vaccinate because these children need even more protection from whooping cough than other children. I could not imagine what whooping cough on top of latent asthma would do to a child.<<<< The mucus was Ashe's problem ... the actual illness had subsided quite a lot and he still had a horrendous cough. He was unable to clear his throat easily. My friend has said that she will definitely vaccinate in the future .. as has been said here .... it may not stop the child from getting Whooping Cough, but it lessens the severity of it ... especially important fo asthmatics (in my uneducated opinion). Both my children have had the vaccination although neither are asthmatic. I can't offer you any facts and my friend is still very uncomfortable talking about it If I can get any info from her I will NCT Derby & District
