moving for school

I don't post often, but I keep up with this list regularly and have

learned so much from the mothers here. Now I have a question for

the experts:

We are considering moving from Indiana to find a good school for our

daughter who is now 4 y/o. She has CP and is doing well from a

gross motor standpoint (walks indep. with a walker and is learning

to walk with a cane) but her speech is still not going well. She is

both apraxic and disarthric and hearing impaired along with a

auditory processing disorder. She has good receptive language but

only a few signs (which she never combines. uses only one word

utterances) and tends to produce only the first sound in a word

followed by a neutral vowel sound.

I have read here about good schools in St Louis and New York but am

wondering what would be considered a few of the best schools

(private or public doesn't matter) in the US to address the speech

and language needs of a child like ours. We have decided that we

would be willing to move anywhere to go to a great school.

Thanks so much

Kim
