Guest guest
I had a dental cleaning, and learned something interesting. I informed them of taking B12 injections when asked about any medical changes. I also complained about some mouth sensitivity/discomfort I've been experiencing. The inside of my lips and the sides of my tongue get tingly and sore and sometimes feel swollen. At first I thought it was thrush, but there was no white residue. The dentist said he recalls learning the a B12 deficiency could cause these symptoms! Has anyone else experienced this? I have found the recent discussion about " success " interesting. My open RNY was 12/27/99. I started at 361# and by October had lost 113#. I've only lost 7 more pounds since then, down to 241#. I should lose another 60# at least. While I know the surgery is just a tool, I was counting on it helping more. I don't always make good choices, but I don't think what I'm doing should cause me to stop losing this early. I guess there are many factors to success. Judy in WI
