I haven't had any problems with it. It isn't one to use all the time

though, as I believe it is one that can cause hearing loss.

I've never had problems with it and have had it several times since it came

out.

Zithromax/Azithromycin is one antibiotic that I am terribly allergic to. I

ve had it IV, in the hospital, and it gave me an immediate asthma attack.

Since Zithromax is azithromycin, and Dr. Cohen says that any antibiotic that

ends in -mycin is contraindicated, I should think that we should take his

advise and stay away from it. The antibiotic info is located in the

Mitoldies files, listed under " Medications Contraindicated In Mitochondrial

Disease " . I always research a medication, before I take it.

Blessings,

Anyone use Zithromax before ? It seems to be temporarily keeping my

fever in check but my muscle pain is through the roof ! Just

wondering if someone has had a similar experience. Not sure if it's

just from the infection or it's a side-effect from the antibiotic.

Sometimes you have to weigh things as to which is worse. I remember

after the anthrax scares asking Dr. C. about Cipro. He said in certain

circumstances, it is better to take the antibiotic that may cause

hearing loss, IF nothing else works. It made sense to me.

Get better!!!!
