Guest guest
> > I found an interesting study on Medscape today. > http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/493281 Here Sometimes I think the drug companies are just shopping around for another application for their drugs. A-Fib is a ripe field to harvest millions of new consumers. My concern and objection is that the drugs do not teat AF directly and the risks they do treat are controllable by diet and lifestyle changes. I am not one to be a purist for its own sake. If I must stike a deal with the devil I will but I want to fight the good fight first. Here I speak of things like ACE inhibitors, ARBS and Statins. The good fight is a lifestyle to lower blood pressure and reduce Lipid ( some say chloestoral ) and inflammation concerns. I am including a few links form respectable sources with a different view . I do not know the truth of these controversies and put them forward in the intrest of open debate. Perhaps a lot of AF sufferers may need to go to this treatment .I believe some folks would be better off to try to prevent and even reverse AF for a decade or so while the facts come in . on ACE concerns : http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/2004122 4/DRUGS24/TPHealth/ usefullness of ACE : http://www.usnews.com/usnews/health/briefs/lung/hb041227c.htm on cholestoral ,statins etc.: http://medicine.ucsd.edu/SES/adverse_effects.htm

Here Hi I agree 100 % with the view you have offered . When things can not be righted one takes the medication and makes the best of it . I was not intending to argue with you.I was just trying to give some balance to the Medicate everything ...that the Docs offer.
