Hi,

Grateful to have found this forum!! For about the past 10 years I

have been quite suceptible to illness. Last January I had a severe

allergic reaction to an antibiotic (bactrim) and broke out in hives.

Since that time my energy crashed and I have been diagnosed with

adrenal fatigue and candida. I am a 31 year old male and used to

exercise vigoursly almost every day, but I currently cannot exercise

even lightly or I will crash hard the following few days.

I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue after a saliva cortisol

test. The Cortisol level was about 10 at 8 am and flatlined the rest

of the day. Tests have also shown low stomach acid and candida. I

have a family history of hypothyroidism.

For about 2.5 months I have been taking ADR (like isocort) made

by 'Pure' - 2 caps in the morning, 1 at lunch, and 1 at dinner. I

have also been supplementing with vitamin a, c, e, aminos, fish oil,

a good multi, magnesium, calcium, sea salt, coq10, ala, herbs to

fight the candida, melatonin, b complex, and b5. I just started

experimenting with pregnenolone as well. I eat a very helathy diet.

I may have improved in these 2.5 months, but still often find myself

very low on energy, sleeping alot (often 9-10 hours a night), having

no tolerance for exercise, and getting dizzy at times. I also have

trouble thinking clearly at times and am not interested in much or

enthusiastic about life like I usually am.

A few questions: How would you recommend proceeding? Would you

recommend trying HC? If so any tests you would recommend beforehand,

ie retesting cortisol levels? Also wondering if I'm hypothyroid, as

most of my family is (my sister has hashis). My TSH was 3.6 at one

test and 2.6 another test. I know these numbers do not necessarily

correlate to anything, but am wondering how to find out if I am hypo

as well. Do I need to address the adrenal fatigue first to then get

an accurate thyroid panel?

I truly appreciate whatever guidance you can provide. Here's to

being victorious and taking our lives back!!

Regards,

Fred
