Guest guest
That sounds great Jay, thanks for checking into this and making changes. As far as the holes are concerned, we did not have to put holes in the 00's which were our first pair and the old style boot. When her foot was seated properly though we were using the very last hole possible and if her feet were thinner we would have needed another hole to get them tight enough. We did however have to put extra holes in the size 1's (samples you sent) to get her tight enough to stay in the boot from the first we got them. Those were the ones with the nice long straps. I think the extra holes have much to do with the width of the foot as well as the very tiny babies who slip out of the very small sizes when they are first put on because their feet are so very small or those like us who move up a whole size when we get new shoes. Because have put her in shoes that might be considered too big, her toes live right under the edge of the leather at first in each pair we've had and thus with the old longer strap the extra holes are necessary. The most I've had to adjust the strap though was 2 holes looser as she grew to where her toes were at or over the edge of the sole. I seriously doubt the loosest holes in the strap are ever used by anyone, they may be able to be eliminated entirely (the loosest 3 holes) and it sounds like this will happen with the new die. Again, thanks for all the help. We'll get these things perfect eventually!
