I am wondering what exactly I can buy to help my adrenals. I've heard

to try sea salt with water in the morning, but don't know what kind to

buy. DO i want iodine in the salt? or no?

Any suggestions would be great to get the slightest relief here.

Thanks.

I've used both the celtic sea salt and the Himalayan sea salt and they are both

really good. The best nutritional supplement I know of for rebuilding adrenals

is the one my gyno prescribes called ADR by Pure Encapsulations.

I feel the best sea salt is Celtic brand. It has all the minerals as

they occur naturally and unrefined. I do nto even check the iodine

ocntent. If you are worried abotu supplementing iodine you shoudl have

an iodine loading test done first. B vitamins especially B12 are very

important as is vitamin C.

Real sea salt has a trace amount of iodine. You do not want to use the

salt you buy at the grocery store it has to many chemicals in it. Real sea

sea salt is never white and is moist.

On the Celtic Sea Salt website, there is an archive of their newsletter, A

Grain of Salt, where in the Fall 2006 edition is a graph showing the

percentage of trace minerals and sea water in different sea salts. Celtic

has 13.36%, Himalayan 4.12% and Real Salt (Redmond) 1.68%. The chart can be

found at http://www.celticseasalt.com/Newsletter_W6.cfm . Click on " A Grain

of Salt - Fall 2006 " . The chart is on page 19 of the PDF file. (The

newsletter also contains an article by Dr. Brownstein, " Iodine & Health, " on

page 1.)
