As someone else mentioned, many consonants are higher frequency tones which is why a high frequency loss is a challenge for kids who want to be oral. The /s/ sound is a higher frequency sound as is /th/ /s/ is a really important sound - our slp thinks it's the most important sound in the english language since it makes one thing many, etc. Barbara Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
