Hi ,

I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy. I remember it was quite a

shock to find out via Ultrasound that my baby had clubfeet, but the

treatment is really not bad at all. The important thing is that it

is totally correctable. We are in NJ too! I am not aware of any

Ponseti Dr's in NJ, but we see Dr. Feldman in NYC.

Here is his contact information:

Feldman, M.D.

301 E. 17th St.

New York, NY 10003

Tel:

Fax:

I hope that helps!

I live in South Jersey, exit 98 off the Pkwy. and we traveled to NYC to have

Mo treated for bilatteral clubfoot. The drive was 1 1/2 hrs. door to

door(including parking) and it was a hard trip but well worth it. We used Dr.

Feldman in Joint Disease.. Good luck.

Hi - My son has just been through treatment with Dr P

in Iowa. He had bilateral clubfoot and a severe and unusual case at

that. I am in Birmingham Alabama and traveled to Iowa. It was well

worth it because of the difficulty of the case. For the best

referral you should call Dr Ponseti's office. They can give you the

name of physicians he has trained in the area. There is often a

vast difference between those who have been trained by him and those

who say they use Ponseti's technique. I have seen too many come

through his door with horrible results because they got the wrong

doctor (80% of Dr P's patients are ones he is correcting from

other's mistakes) We were so fortunate to have him from the

beginning and avoid errors. The closest trained Drs to us were in

Atlanta, but they had only been trained in his technique a year

earlier. In most normal cases, many can do just fine. It's when

you run into problems that it really escalates. We stayed at the

Mc house (very inexpensive) and Dr P worked with my

schedule to help make it as easy as possible. At the very least, if

you get a reference from him you will have the peace of mind of

knowing you're with the right guy. Also, if you run into problems,

there will be an easy transfer of info between the doctors. e-mail

him at ignacio-ponseti@... good luck

Hi

Doh! Thank you for correcting me - I have been to the new office, I

just didn't notice I was posting old info. Thanks!
