Guest guest
Greetings Donna! You wondered: > ... is it normal for to sleep most of the time? ... > He even falls asleep while I'm feeding him. ... He say's > he's just tired. Anyone have any ideas? If this continues, you may want to discuss a referral to see a sleep specialist. When you ask for a referral, you may need to request to see a specialist certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. See the following link: http://www.absm.org/ You can also find a certified center in your area by visiting the American Academy of Sleep Medicine website: http://www.aasmnet.org/ Scroll down the frame on the left hand side of the screen. There you will notice a " Sleep Disorder Centers & Labs " . These centers may provide a good starting point, if you GP or neurologist is not able to locate a specialist. may just have a problem with the mechanisms that maintain wakefulness. As I understand it, part of that mechanism is body temperature. Or it could point to an infection. The key (as with everything else with this disorder) is to discuss changes like this with his doctors. Regards, =jbf= B. Fisher
