Guest guest
>>Once your temps are level within .2 degrees, how long do you stay at the same dosage of cortisol? Do you try lowering it by 2.5 mg after a certain amount of time and see if you temps stay level? I'm taking 20 mg divided up by 7.5, 5.0, 5.0, 2.5 and my temps have been level for the last week or so.<< You stay at that dose until your THYROID is optimized, then hold for a couple weeks when it is stable at 98.6 and THEN try to weanoff. If you try to wean before your thyroid is optimal, you will fall right back into adrenal fatigue. >>Can you have a conventional doctor test your T3, T4 and TSH, DHEA and cortisol while you are on Armor Thyroid and HC to see how you are doing? Are there certain types of blood or other tests that conventional doctors can do to test these levels? << You can test all but the cortiosl. Cortisol testign while ON HC is guesswork and very inaccuratre. This is why it is important to graph temps as it is the best way I have found of finding the correct HC dose for you. >> I am trying out a new family doctor that supposedly encourages natural remedies so I was wondering if it would be good for him to test all my levels at the same time. Not sure if he would agree to the saliva test but I can ask him! Would it be of any benefit to take the saliva test while in HC?<< Testing cortisol while on HC is a waste of money and very inaccurate. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Hi Val, Thank you so much! One more question - if you don't mind. Does basal temperature play into the equation at all? Guest guest
Basal temps only show thyroid status. which as you can see that too with the three times daily average it is not really necessary. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
