Guest guest
Although I do agree with you on some level, protein of any kind, won't help if you vomit. I think some people, myself included, have experienced this... several times. I am not trying to act like 'a three year old taking my cough medicine', but rather, trying to find a suitable source that won't make me VOMIT, or extremely green for a couple of hours! Tring to be a brave grown up taking my protein, Loriann Re:Liquid Protein ok, once again...as they say in New England quitcherbitchen ! good Lord, you have a life saving operation, and then whine about the taste of protein. GNC Challenge brand has ALL the amino's, and in 6 oz it's a complete day's worth...and NO, it doesn't tast like filet mignon, but you won't lose heart muscle...and 2 oz ever 4 hours won't kill ya...guys, we gotta stop acting like 3 yr olds taking cough medicine ! Second...there are many other sources of protein, but none quite so good a the liquid stuff...yogurt, for example is crammed with protein AND a wonderful source of concentrated calcium...and about the Tums issue...some doc said there may be absorbtion problems with a whole tablet...then cut the damn thing in quarters and 1/4 every 2 hours...there's always a work-around... I AM sympathetic to all the life changes everyone has to make, but life goes on...and remember, you've just gotten a new lease on life...enjoy it...don't let the little stuff get you down ! jim
Guest guest
VERY WELL SAID!!! and thank you for saying it!! Love, Loriann Re: Re:Liquid Protein I do not appreciate your parental condescending style of writing to this list. If " quitcherbitchen " is your idea of sharing supportive information, I think you have sorely misjudged the purpose and intent of posting here. Saying people are whining is rude and uncalled for and verges on flaming. You bet people complain about the taste of protein. That is totally appropriate. Protein is very important, many have queasy stomachs and cannot tolerate things that have unpleasant tastes. Thanks for sharing the information you have about protein. However, please eliminate the unsupportive admonitions from your posts. You have no way of knowing what is important to others, only to yourself. in Seattle DS 1/5/01 Dr Welker ----- Original Message ----- > ok, once again...as they say in New England quitcherbitchen ! good Lord, you > have a life saving operation, and then whine about the taste of protein.
