I quite frequently dress my DD2 in odd socks although I try to keep it to

things like Tigger on one foot, Pooh on the other. As for her other stuff I

think she only has Winnie the Pooh characters (very fussy child).

LOL on this, lovely baby in photo, decided mine were all beautiful too no matter

what Dad dressed them in -gave up on trying to get him to put the right tops

with the right ends but dd1 was having none of it from the time she was about 3

so she has always helped her colourblind brothers and father with clothing.

Still does in fact. She is completely clothes mad....anyone else out there with

a 12 year old girl who only wants designer outfits, though woudn't be seen dead

in a dress... I have drawn the line on high shoes (buffaloes at £90 a shot are

out of the question), but she just tells me I am 'scanty' as all her friends

have them!! Well she will just have to put up with having a scanty Mum I'm

afraid!

Valentine's

Had a nice meal out last night, first time ever we did something for Valentines,

hubby is of the mind that all of these 'events' are marketed by card companies

to get us to spend exorbitant amounts of money....only reason we went last night

is that he was away last week and I am going on Sunday for week and we needed to

have chat without the children....my older ones sometimes go to bed later than I

do now so private time has become a bit of a problem.

" out of the mouths of babes "

had interesting conversation with dd2 last night as I was getting ready to go

out, she is cross with some of the girls in her class who

" don't like R "

Mum " is there a reason they don't like her "

dd2 " they think she's dumb because she can't talk properly "

Mum " that's not very nice, what do you say "

dd2 " I tell them its not her fault as she just doesn't have some of her worms "

Mum " what do you mean - worms "

dd2 " those things that make you into a baby, in your mums tummy, you know the

worms that you get from you Mum and Dad well she didn't get the speaking one "

She meant chromosomes - I had to explain about a friends baby recently who is

Down's syndrome - used correct terms but she still turned it into worms....

not sure that this will help poor R - think other children might be turned off

by the fact that she is made up of loads of worms.

Know I shouldn't find it amusing but must have a warped sense of humour....
