They are industrial by-products and are basically poisonous. They are NOT good for teeth and are NOT good for human health. We filter our water using a filter that removes fluoride from what we drink; the next step we are contemplating is a whole house filter so we are not bathing or showering in the poison. We use toothpaste from www.youngliving.com which has essential oils in it, and NO fluorides. Do a little research on the fluorides that are put in our water supply; independent research, I might add, not research from the ADA or the companies that sell this poison to our city and county governments, and you will be appalled.
