Guest guest
According to Aimee's fiance, she developed sepsis of the blood (a bacteria) that sent her into massive organ failure. No one can say at this point if it is related to her WLS. However several people who attended the Mt. Sinai support group with her told me that she was very vocal about the fact that she didn't take her vitamins because she couldn't stand the taste of them and that she didn't take in the required amount of protein needed for her body to thrive. In October Dr. Gagner wanted to hospitalize her and put her on tube feedings to boost her protein levels because they were dangerously low and she refused. Draw your own conclusions as to whether this contributed to her declining health. In my mind she set herself up for calamity... nonetheless my heart goes out to her family and other loved ones. Let's keep them all in our prayers... Bridget > I feel so bad that Aimee passed away. I read her story and searched the > archives for messages posted by her.
