Guest guest
FIrst the good news: I just saw the 6 week post RAI scan, and there is no sign of metastasis!!! WHOO HOO! However, the doctor at the cancer treatment center wants me to go through a 6-week daily cobalt beam therapy. When I asked him why, he said it was 'preventative'. He also told me that he doesn't do periodic RAI checks. From everything I have heard on here, and read in the literature, this sounds strange. If the scan doesn't show any spread, why would the beam therapy be necessary?? Can anyone comment?
