Guest guest
Hi All, Well, my big boy Gareth (10) has just returned home from a week away with the school at a Field Study Centre. They were banned from doing half of the activities due to the foot and mouth problem, and the other half were affected by the fact that they were stuck in snow two ft deep. Despite these problems, they all had a whale of a time, and Gareth's form teacher and headteacher approached me seperately to tell me what a star he had been (their words!) This meant a lot to me, as I'd been a bit worried about it. Gareth has ADHD, and can be a bit unpredictable sometimes, although is a lot older and wiser than his years in many ways. It was his first time away from home without family (he has stayed with my mum and with his godmother before) so was quite a big boy test for him. He seems to have passed with flying colours. I'm not so worried now about how he'll get on when he moves to High School in September, even though we will also have moved to the other end of the country by then. So, three cheers for Gareth, I'm very very proud of him, and I'd love to show him any praises you might want to sing for him too!! No wonder your mum is so chuffed and so she should be. Keep up the good work. Although sometimes you must think us Mums are soppy (and we are)we love you to bits and are very proud when you do so well. It must feel great to have made mum smile so much. We all know how special our children are and how proud of them we are, but it's so nice when someone outside the family tells you what a great child you have. So, three cheers for Gareth, I'm very very proud of him, and I'd love to show him any praises you might want to sing for him too!! Well done Gareth - glad you enjoyed your trip and keep making your mum proud! Aileen > > Vicky
