Guest guest
I give my son a teaspoon of lignan rich flax oil every morning. I think it helps him to focus a little better and calms him. It took about a month for me to notice this but when I stopped giving it to him for a few days (I was lazy) I noticed a change in his behavior. Guest guest
, how do you give him the flax oil? Do you mix it with something? I used to give Evan some in his oatmeal which is now out of the question. Betty in Central California ----- Original Message ----- > I give my son a teaspoon of lignan rich flax oil every morning. Guest guest
Evan will not swallow pills yet, so even the smallest must be crushed and mixed with something to get it down. Guest guest
Hi, I have just done reading on this group, and I haven't posted at all. I think what the Dr is talking about is that Flax seed oil causes mania in some children. We have been giving my son fish oil for a while, but I just bought flax seed oil, its the jell cap form. Not just for my PDD boy, but also for my ADHD boy. Ive been wanting to try the flax seed oil, but have been too scared to try it on my PDD boy, because he has problems already with that side of things. Since Kirkman has been around for so long and specializes in products for autism, I would have to assume it is good for autistic children, but I do not know for sure...I am putting my faith/trust in Kirkman Labs rather than in doctors because doctors usually do not care and just lie to me to make me shut up and go away (don't know about your doctor, just my own personal experience) > Debbie > -- >

Guest guest
Bob's Red Mill makes flax seed meal. It's great to put on cereal or throw in a smoothie. My son wouldn't take the oil very well in his smoothie.
