Guest guest
>>I'm confused... does high or low cortisol cause anxiety? My doctor says I have anxiety because my cortisol is HIGH.<< The worst anxiety I hav seen was from low cortiosl with low thyroid. Couplr that with highish DHEA adn you can have a nightmare existence. SOME people get anxiety form high cortilsl others do not. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi Dan Ashwaganda regulates hypothalamus/pituitary/adrenal axis..This means it normalizes HPA axis function. Some adaptogens tend to give some hyperactivity while others are calmer.some are more immune modulator some work more on stress system. Some of them may help with libido problems.an adaptogen may work fine for some while it may not fit so well to some other. I also tried it. I found it to be little hot(giving hyperactivity) for me. I am fine with Relora which gives me calming effect. But it might be fine at small dosages in a formula.Needs to be tried. best wishes. Nil Cortisol high or low-- anxiety/insomnia I'm confused... does high or low cortisol cause anxiety? My doctor says I have anxiety because my cortisol is HIGH. Also, does ashwaghanda raise or lower cortisol? Thanks, Dan
Guest guest
It can happen at all stages. I had it in my early stages of higher cortisol, I had it worst at stage 7 with low cortisol and low DHEA. I think it is more adrenaline related from cortisol being off than DHEA related. And a person can have panic attacks with both high and low cortisol...anytime the adrenals are not balanced. Cheri Re: Cortisol high or low-- anxiety/insomnia I remember reading somewhere that Panic attacks occur when person is low cortisol/high dhea stage. bw Nil .
