I found the late teeth comment interesting as well. I've never heard

anyone mention this side affect fo CF before. Emma is going to be a year

old in a week and a half and she only has three teeth so far. Her cousin

who will turn a year old tomorrow and doesn't have CF, already has 8

teeth and has had them for a few months already. I am not one of those

mothers who thought about actually writing these things down for my older

daughter but I do recall hers came in late but I don't think it was only

three at a year old.

Talk to you later,

Law - mother of Emma 11 1/2 months w/CF and Isabelle 2 1/2 years

wo/cf

I find this interesting as well!

Agustin turned one year old on June 14th and he's only

getting his 5th tooth now -- and he's suffering a lot! ...

Neither his Ped nor his CF Doc said anything about late

teething related to CF ... I'm getting a little concerned

about this.

I'd like to read other experiences about this issue!

Thanks in advance,

Mom of Agustin, 1 yo wcf

,

Just thought I would say that our daughter with CF did not have any

problems with her teeth coming in and has been losing baby teeth since

she was 6...with adult teeth coming right behind the baby teeth falling

out. Her dentist did say that she was losing them a little early, but

her sister is the same way, and both have lost teeth with new ones to

replace them right away!!! She does have a few problems with her teeth

not being in the best of shape tho, but that could be from her

malnutrition from birth to 18 mo. when she was finally diagnosed.

Just thought I would share that.

-mom of 4, one with CF, and #5 due in July with poss. CF

Hi

Just thought I'd post about the 'late teeth' issue.

My son Zach started getting his teeth at 4 months. He was really

good at cutting them too sometimes you didn't know he had a new one

until you stuck your finger in his mouth to check. My daughter Rikki-

Lee started cutting hers at around 5 months. So both my kids cut

theirs early and they both have cf.

Just thought I'd share

NZ mum to Zach nearly10wcf and Rikki-Lee 8wcf

My son didn't start getting teeth until 13 months old - a month after

diagnosis.....when he started gaining weight and energy & feeling better. I

think it has to do with malnutrition? Carey, Mom to Liam 15 mo. w/CF

Hi all,

Well, you guys may be interested in our scenario,

since we have twins wcf - At 16.5 months (14 months

adjusted), our daughter has a whopping 10 teeth, but

our son has none, zero, zilch. I sometimes think

I see some buds coming in, but so far nothing.

I'm not sure it's a CF thing, or just one of those

every baby is different sort of thing.

hugs,

mommy to Mick and Alli, 16.5 mo twins wcf

Hi all,

My daughter with cf had her first teeth at 15months. Now she is 2 1/2 years old,

and has only 10 teeth, and having big digestive problems every time that she

teeths. Doctors have allways said that it has no relation with cf, but I am not

so sure....
