The boys have wanted a hamster ever since the nursery school one died (you may remember I posted about this incident early in January). Today, they went and chose one. He is an albino and is called Snowy. Only 8 weeks old (supposedly!) but is a good size of a hamster for one so young. He only just fits in his wheel! We've kept the nursery school hamster cage (they weren't getting another one) and given them a donation for it. We had everything else, except an occupant for the cage.
