Val - Glucose *dropping* on HC (cream) dosing?

Val, this might be a question for you, as you have diabetes in

addition to adrenal fatigue. I'm type 1 (late onset), still

honeymooning after 2 years, and no DP, so I do have some b-cell

function left.. Has anyone else in this situation ever noticed

glucose *dropping* after an HC dose, rather than rising? I was at

82, then dosed with a " smidgen " (about 1/32 t. or about 1-1.25 mg HC

cream - my smidgen measure I think is just a bit more than 1/32 of a

teaspoon, more like 1/30). An hour later, my BG was *71*, and I

trust (blindly..) that this is not meter error..

My hypothesis is that the cortisol lets more T3 into the cells (I

may be on a bit too high a dose of Armour, given that I wasn't

supplementing cortisol when I started it), and perhaps affects

insulin binding or insulin receptor sensitivity or cell-surface-

density directly, which would lead to a lowering of BG. I run at

normal (83 by Dr. Bernstein testing non-diabetic meter

salespeople :) or even sub-normal within the accepted range of

70-90, so this hypothesis (if true) might break down for someone

running a higher level (I think a LOT of assumptions we have about

diabetes break down if one runs at non-diabetic BGs)

Jim
