Guest guest
Hello, Welcome to the group, this is a great place for us all to share advice and vent. My son's story & photos are at our website http://www.geocities.com/chele323232 he is a " normal " active 2 year old who was born with unilateral right clubfoot, he walks, runs, jumps, etc (Even when he was back in full leg casts at age 2) I understand how shocked you are, I never had heard of talipes or clubfoot until after he was born, we did not know through ultrasound. Feel free to ask any questions here, the people here are really great. Michele
Guest guest
Welcome! I don't think they can know how severe the clubfoot is until the baby is born. Also, depending on how the clubfoot was treated, your child will walk normally. Our son had unilateral right clubfoot and was treated with the Ponseti method. He is now walking and people are unable to tell that anything was ever wrong with his foot. I know you are worried now and have many questions. I hope you will find all the answers you need with this helpful website. If you are a member of this group, you can find much information in the files and links section. Try to learn as much now as you can. I wish I had known about this website before our son was born so that I could have been better prepared. Good luck and ask us anything! Guest guest
Hi, Welcome to the group. With the Ponseti treatment Sasha's feet can be just as good as feet that are unaffected. Below is a list of doctors practising the Ponseti method closest to Egypt. I've also attached the link to Dr. Ponseti's website which has lots of info including an FAQ. Best of luck! Guest guest
Sasha's Mommy, It will be okay. Club foot is nothing to be scared of. Your baby girl will be just fine. I sometimes wonder if finding out ahead of time is a good thing or a bad thing. We didn't find out until our daughter was born and she as a right club foot. We were happy, sad, angry, concerned, all those things. But we adjusted quickly and Rose is the joy of our lives. Hopefully, this will be just a distant memory before we know it. Good luck on your upcoming birth experience. We look forward to hearing all about Sasha! Robin & Rose Right club foot. rita221068 wrote: Dear All, I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. I started reading a lot of articles but I am really scared. I can not imagine how I am going to treat her or even take care of her. I just need to know does the ultrasonic through out the coming weeks shows if it is mild or severe talipes or it is known after the baby is born. Also, does anyone know if the baby after 1 year old from continious treatement can walk normally or will still suffer. Thanks Sasha mother
