's is incurable, usually has autoimmune causes or Tuberculosis, and

Adrenal Exhausiton, you may still get the full fuinction of your adrenals back,

but it will take a long time. BOTH cause cortisol insufficiency and should be

treated with replacement hormones to replace what your body is not able to make.

Val

I am on isocort 8 pallets for the last 6 years. At this moment I am scared that

i might have moved into addison's and lost chance of recovery.Would you think it

is always possible to recover or would some move into addison's and has to live

with steroids for the rest of his life?

Undertreating adrenals does nto cause 's, but it does not allow

the adrenals to heal either. I would wean off the Isocort nad have some

saliva cortiosl labs done to see where you are.

It is really extremely difficult for me to wean off isocort. I tried to do it

but it is just impossible. My body can not handle it. At this moment i can stand

up only for 15-20 minutes when i wake up. During this time i am having my

breakfast and right after that i am breathless, I take my isocort and go for

resting. It is only after 30 mins to 1 hr resting(depending on my daily

condition) that i am functional again.Day goes on like that. Does that not mean

that i am low in cortisol whole day?

The reason I am mentioning about addisons is that I actually have CFS.So I have

excess pituitary hyperactivity problem. It could be that I have spent all the

cortisol I am taking from outside and still continue depleting adrenals.

Have you had recent thyroid labs? That would tell alot about your

cortisol levels.

What should I have done? would TSH,Ft3 and ft4 be fine?

Last time I had these tested was in autumn 2005 and my condition similar to

today's, though little better. Values were

TSH 1.243(0.3-5)

ft3 2.757(1.4-4.4)

ft4 0.915(0.8-1.7)

Do these values look problematic?

You look very hypo and adrenal fatigued. With a T4 that low, your T3 shoudl also

be bottom of range as it is not it means you do nto have enough cortisol to use

it.
