Guest guest
Tony, Just wondering if your Hope is on EFA's or EPA's.......I can not wait for my son, 4 (almost 5) to start talking....just seems so hard and frustrating...Glad to hear your good news...God Bless and hope to hear back from you. colleen Toni Wells <mommybizz@...> wrote: I can't believe how sudden it was. Hope is now initiating words, interacting with people without prompting, and talking up a storm. Granted a lot of it is still single syllables, but it's something. She's also popping out with 2 word phrases and 2 syllable words a lot more. She has a pause between the words or syllables, but not as long as she used to. It's maybe a beat before she gets the rest out. She's been getting 2 words out when prompted, but this weekend she started doing it without prompting. What was the first phrase she said by herself? Well she was playing with Faith and it got a little rough. Faith jumped on her, literally. Hope was on the floor and Faith just jumped and sat on her, right in the middle of her back. It knocked the wind out of Hope and she hit her chin on the floor, which happened to be grandma's concrete solarium floor covered by a very low pile carpet. As soon as she caught her breath she looked at Faith, pointed at her and said " not nice " . Lane heard it and was floored. He was like what did she say? No that cant be her, my daughter doesnt say 2 words. She just smiled and laughed at him. She's been chattering ever since. About 60% of the time other people can understand what she's trying to say too, so that's a big improvement. So now it's pushy mom time again. For a while it was push her a little to get her to try and say anything, then it was push to work on the beginning or ending sounds of the word, then it was push for 2 syllables or 2 words. Now it's push for 3.
