Sounds like you may have finally found a " keeper " . I'm glad he's so

close to home for you. Where are the mito DNA tests actually being

done?

Good for you Dawn. The psychsomatic stuff is just ridiculous. History

of medicine is full of illnesses that were thought to be psychosomatic,

until they discovered the REAL disease or disfunction. Doctors just

have a hard time saying that they don't know, and will blame the

patient if they can.

Glad you are getting some serious attention.

Dawn,

I am glad you finally got a doctor who will listen to you. That makes a lot of difference. You mentioned that you have gait issues. What is your gait like? I have gait issues as well and some doctors feel that I shouldn't be having that problem. In my opinion, my gait doesn't have to do with the mito.

I am glad that Dr. Tick is working with you and you are comfortable with him.

Smiles,

He said there were a lot of tests that need to be done that have not. He gave me an order for 21 different labs to be done at children's hosp in Milw. including a mito DNA test. The best part is he is only 45 min from my home.DawnMedical advice, information, opinions, data and statements contained herein are not necessarily those of the list moderators.
