Guest guest
FORWARDED WITH PERMISSION We are beginning to finalize our Fall Schedules, and wanted to announce a few opportunities: New Clinical Opportunities: Friendship Groups (with 4-6 children): This summer, these groups were very successful for those who had already had success in dyads. We plan to continue to offer these throughout the year. These can be billed through SpeechKids as group speech therapy ($110 per hour) or PlayPartners as Friendship Group ($42 per hour). Dates/times to be determined. PALS (Play and Language Stimulation, 1-3 years old): a group that explores such issues and techniques as Indirect Language Stimulation, Floortime, Manding, Sensory Processing, Articulation Shaping, etc. across 10 sessions. Parents must attend with their child; fee is $50.00 per hour. TALK (Teaching Articulation and Language to Kids with mild delays; 3-8 years old): A small group of children with mild articulation/language issues practice acquisition of new patterns. This class is scheduled for 90 minutes and is co-taught by a Speech Therapist and an Occupational Therapist. Focus is on Brainstorming, Guided Imagery, Graphic Organizers, Sentence and Paragraph Construction while incorporating Sensory Processing, Sensory Integration, and Fine Motor strategies to support the writing process. Individual handwriting practice (Handwriting without Tears or Getting It Write) can also be a component of this instruction. Call to discuss scheduling/fees. Call quickly because times are limited. Workshops/Meetings: RDI Study Group: The RDI Study Group will resume in September, allowing parents and professionals to study and practice the RDI principles.
