Guest guest
Hi Barbara, My son , 6.5 Years old just implanted in April, has received the Freedom from Cochlear Corporation. At this time the FM receiver is not yet available for it. Cochlear is hoping by school start it will become available. One cool feature for the fm on the Freedom is that it will be intergrated into the battery compartment. It can be adapted to work with an external FM system in the interim, but that would require cords and an fm receiver worn clipped to his shirt. But it can be done for now. For now, my son is only using the FM that is on his hearing aid in his unimplanted ear and seems to be doing OK with that. Debbie
Guest guest
Sorry, forgot to add, he could use a personal " speaker " fm in the interim as well. Debbie

Guest guest
Barb Yes. I have never used one, but I know Kay and her son have. She is getting ready to go on the road though. >First - is there an FM system that works with a CI? > >thanks! >Barbara _________________________________________________________________ On the road to retirement? Guest guest
One of my daughters uses a personal sound field, and the other one has the FM hooked up right into her receiver. That one is a MicroLink I believe. Tish RE: CI Questions > Barb > Yes. > I have never used one, but I know Kay and her son have.
