Guest guest
I'm a pre-op and have never had any type of weight loss surgery. I do have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and also have had tons of dental problems. I use baby food meats whenever I am having serious teeth problems and when I am past the clear liquids stage with a really bad bout of IBS, but am not ready to take on " real " meats. The baby food meat isn't so bad when you heat it up and use salt and pepper on it. In fact, I enjoy it! Guest guest
>>>I stood in line for almost 3 hours today to donate....when they pulled me up on the computer, I had been denied due to high liver enzymes over 9 years ago (at the time my doc thought I had gallstones...when I had my RNY 2 years ago, they yanked my gall bladder too), but since I have never been cleared again to donate, I was turned away. Guess I need to get this taken care of.... KC >>>>>>>>> most of us have high liver enzymes as post ops. what did your last blood work show? high or normal? if normal, go for it, clear it up with the red cross. its only a little paperwork and it won't even take three more hours. they will want negative hepatitis and hiv tests done and the liver enzymes as proof. been there, done that. Guest guest
I too am interested in this. I placed *many* e-mails to skin banks offering my excess skin and did not get much of a response. The few I did get said they did not need the donations at the time. That was probably a few weeks ago. It sure would be a waste to not have the skin used where it could be of great help to others in need. Larry wrote: > Where we can call or go to donate skin??
