Guest guest
Dear Shany, The protein shakes are not replacement meals, but protein supplementation for most of us as we dont absorb enough protein from the foods that we eat.. However, the amount of protein that you are able to absorb from the foods that you eat depends on the type surgery you had as in how much of your intestines are bypassed. Guest guest
Debby - The surgery will help you keep off the weight for your lifetime. Without it, how easy will it be to regain the weight lost? Way too easy! That's why we all resort to surgery, because diets only fix things temporarily, if at all. Jeanne in WI Jeanne, one of my closests friends is starting the Atkins diet, due to the fact that she has Kaiser insurance, and she is at her heaviest weight right now. She really would like to have the surgery; however, people with Kaiser have to play their game for one year, and she tells me she does not have the patience for that. I know what you are saying about the temporary fix..... Katt >>(^..^)<< (..........( | | )

Guest guest
Welcome Shay! Protein drinks (supplements) help WLS patients get in their protein each day. Because of our new 'plumbing' if you will, it's very hard to get all the protein we need (each day) from food alone. Protein powder is easily digestible and easy to make (just mix with water and drink). Contact Vitalday Vitalady.com - and check out her samples. They're a great way to go! Love, Trace
Guest guest
My OB/GYN told me (at the time) that having babies would really help with my endometriosis. I went on to have four, precious little girls and did not/have not suffered really with the endo for the past eleven years. My oldest daughter is 11 1/2. I also think that God really healed me of infertility because the doctors didn't think that Corb and I would have much success in trying to conceive a baby. Four babies later -- Here we are. LOL God is so good. Love, Trace
