To find this one, I just put the name of the file in a search engine

and saw all the sites that came up involving hoaxes.

You can also go to several " hoax " sites which have listings. For

example:

www.symantec.com/avcenter/hoax.html

Usually the warnings that go around in emails ARE hoaxes. The virus

software that you have informs you of the legit ones.

I don't claim to have any computer smarts,but IF it a hoax why is it on my C drive?

This hoax, like the SULFNBK.EXE Warning hoax, tries to encourage you

to delete a legitimate Windows file from your computer. Jdbgmgr.exe

is the file to which the hoax refers, and it is the Microsoft

Debugger Registrar for Java. The Jdbgmgr.exe file may be installed

when you install Windows.

I believe it is a necessary file for your PC to run. I'm not positive

though.
