what I was prescribed that started this whole circus) and today Levaquin is a

huge nono (I got terribly ill from Levaquin in the hospital- They told me I was

crazy as Levaquin and Cipro are the same class of antibiotics.) Anyway.. he

said Flagyl has basically become useless and pulsing with Vanco is what is

needed today. He also said that fecal transplants are showing very good results

although people are freaked by it (to me it's organic better than what a drug

company would give me) anyway- I asked if it is best to get Fecal transplant

from someone that lives with you as they are exposed to the same

surrounding/bacteria as the patient. He said that is ideal but that person

cannot have any trace of C Diff and needs to be super healthy.

Eileen,

Are you getting tested through Genova Random Stool?

If so part of that is checking for C Diff along with other buggers.

Do the purge with the test! Don't skip it.

So with Fecal Transplantation- not sure where they source the actual feces from

and what process they use specifically but they put it into an enema and inject

rectally.

This makes so much sense to me as it would be loaded with healthy bacteria that

has been through the human GI tract. It's like a healthy form of a vaccine it

even works on similar principles to homeopathy of treating like with like.

I asked today if it would be best to get the feces " sourced " from someone you

live with and he said that would be ideal but that person would need to be super

duper healthy. The reason I asked this is because it would make sense to me

that whomever the patient lives with well, they are exposed to a lot of the same

microbes and environmental factors that they haven't been affected by.
