> I don't know what to say, they don't know if it is pneumonia or bronchialities

or something else more scary until all the tests come back, and meanwhile we

just have to wait. He is still on oxygen support, lots of monitors, and a drip -

plus the antibiotics - will need to stay at least 4 days.

> Hopefully, hopefully he will be OK. He gave me a faint smile of recognition

today and made a weak attempt to pull the drip off, so made my day. Will be a

funny weekend though. Will bring Emilia in to see him tomorrow, then we'll see.

I guess you won't be reading this until tomorrow, Karin, but my thoughts are

with you. It sounds as though Sebastian is having A1 treatment. Lets hope

today's weak smile turns into a big grin tomorrow.

Karina, I hope you find out soon what the problem is and that Sebastian makes a

speedy recovery.

Alison

Thanks everyone - for your thoughts and sympathy.

I've popped home to give Emilia a normal bed time, after having spent all day

with the little one - DH is in the hospital, so we will swap over as soon as she

has gone to sleep. (Thankfully neighbours have promised to keep an eye on a

hopefully sleeping Emilia whilst I drive to the hospital and DH drives back).

Very lucky to be so close to a hospital, they have all been great.

> Think I'm just writing this to get it out of my system really, have

had some many relatives ringing saying 'is he OK now' and then having

to say 'not really'.

We're still thinking of you and hoping his recovery is swift and

complete.

So pleased to hear Sebastian is OK - I've been looking at my messages at

every chance since the weekend to see if there was one from you - it

must have been so scary having a little baby that ill.

Sorry to hear that you are unwell too, and that the doctors aren't

taking it seriously. I haven't got any suggestions, I'm afraid, beyond

continuing to badger the doctors. Difficult, I know, when you're worried

about the children.

Make the most of having your sister there, and hopefully with her

support you will all start to feel better soon.

Hugs.

OMG. What a bloody time you have had. Time for TLC girl - off to bed with your

babies and let you sister look after you. I cannot think of anything herbal

that you can take while breastfeeding. The one I can think of is to be avoided

while pregnant & B.feeding so I think its time and care and making Dr. take you

seriously you may have secondary/ inner ear infection. Are you dizzy or having

balance problems?

Love to you all -

> Am very unwell, so will write more later. Have had the same viral infection as

the baby for 2 weeks and have not been able to hear a single thing for over a

week, so please please if anyone knows what to do about this let me know. The

doctors are not taking it seriously, but they do not understand how scary it is

to not be able to hear your own baby breathing and crying, or to hear what your

toddler is saying (they have suggested Sudafed and nose drops but they do not

help)

>

> For the first time ever since the babies were born I had to admit I could not

cope and refused to come home from hospital unless there was someone to help, so

DH has flown my sister over from Oslo. Thank God. Am having the first chance to

rest in weeks, so perhaps I will start recovering now.

>

> Thanks to all for all your sympathy. It is so scary when a 4-month old baby is

not breathing, and the doctors were panicking too. It seems lots of fluid and

oxygen helped him over the crisis.
