Guest guest
My personal physician noticed that my white cell count was differening over several months of labs and were lower than the norm. She did not think it was related to the WLS and refered me on to a hemotolgist. Well I saw him yesterday. Guess what, he thinks I am insufficient in B12. My fault for not paying attention to the discussion on B12. I try to remember to take the sublingual B12 everyweek but I guess I will need more. He has ordered more tests and we are also taking care of the arthritis too as it seems to be acting more up now than before. So this was a good thing in that I found a great doctor who is more specialized than my GP and extremely thorough and informative and just humanly nice. The week before, I had to see an orthopedist as my knee kind of went out. Had xrays and I have lost the cartilage in my right knee so it is Tylenol for pain, keep up with the Glucosimine/Condroitum and in a few years knee replacement. This doctor was so cut and dried/no personality that the one I saw yesterday was so much more open and approachable. Gosh, personallities do make a difference in the patient doctor relationship. Well, I am off this morning to go get the blood drawn. Now I will pay more attention to supplement discussions. Also at 13 months out I am on one long plateau so I ordered the famous ProScore 100 to up the protein and hopefully move me off the plateau.
