Guest guest
>>I upped my dose of Armour to 1 whole grain (1/2 morning, 1/2 early afternoon) on Saturday. Had a nice average temp raise to 97.9 on Saturday and Sunday. Today was wierd - first temp was 98.3, then tanked to 96.8 and 97.2 and 97.7. I took the last one at 6 p.m. just to see what it would be. I had been running around cooking dinner, taking care of kids, and doing a million other things right before I took it. I was busy today, but not particularly stressed. I was almost a perfect 97.9 every time I took my temps on Sat and Sun. Should I go ahead and raise the Armour tomorrow? I've been raising by a 1/4 grain to make sure I don't stress the adrenals.<< OK you are not doing the temps correctly. Yoiu need to follow Dr Rind's directions. It is NORMAL to have fluctuations during the day and ABNORMAL to have the same temps all day long! You take the three temps starting whne you have been awake at least three hours, add them together and graph the AVERAGE of those three temps. It is the average from one day to the next that must be stable at .2 degrees from one day to the next for good adrenal support. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi, Val, It's me again. I really, really understand about the temps. The average of my regular three temps from yesterday is 97.43. This does not include the last temp because it was so late in the day - not part of my regular protocol. I grabbed the thermometer just because I was curious. I knew my daily average was going to crash because of the earlier readings. So, here is my question is rephrased: My temps have been stable on 32.5 mg Cortef. I upped my dose of Armour to 1 whole grain (1/2 morning, 1/2 early afternoon) on Saturday. (I am raising by 1/4 grain at a time to avoid stressing my adrenals unduly.) Had a nice average temp raise to 97.9 on Saturday and Sunday. My average temp dropped to 97.4 on Monday (yesterday). Does that mean I need to go ahead and raise the Armour today, even though I've only beenat the 1 grain dose 2 days? > > >>I upped my dose of Armour to 1 whole grain (1/2 morning, 1/2 early > afternoon) on Saturday. Give it time. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Thank you, thank you, thank you. For future reference, how do I determine if it's a delayed stress reaction, or the feedback loop kicking in? Hope you're a little warmer~ > > >>Had a nice average temp raise > to 97.9 on Saturday and Sunday. My average temp dropped to 97.4 on > Monday (yesterday). If it looks bad within 5 days after a dose raise it is usually caused by the dose raise. Itf something changes after a week after the raise it is usually another cause. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
