Pat,

I was high in morning and low the next two readings then normal at the 4th

reading. Also DHEA in the toilet. I would be willing to be my early morning

now is normal as my nighttime seems more stabilized. I reduced my DHEA to 15

mg and am doing cycling for the past week where I haven't taken it at all

per some research I read then will slowly introduced it back starting at 5

mg. I want to do my next saliva tests first and see what my labs say. Most

of this is just experimenting with how I feel and keeping in environmental

factors and other stresses but I will have to be job hunting soon so I want

to get in as good of physical shape I can before that added stressor.

Here is my current schedule:

12.5 mg at 7:30 -8 am

5 mg 3 hours later

5 mg 3 hours after that

5 mg for my last dose (usually 3.5-4 hours)

I have experimented with doing 5 doses but didn't notice a difference. I

might do that again when I started T3 if I need it.

Since changes in weather seem to cause me stress I may add another 2.5 mg on

those days when I feel my symptoms of low cortisol. IT seems to help and I

only do it for a day then get back on schedule. I felt a day when I was

feeling " fluish " but I never get the flu so I knew it was low cortisol and

sure enough taking an added 2.5 mg dose cleared it up. I just started the

12.5 mg in the morning a few days ago (was at 10 mg before) because I still

felt I was crashing between 10 am -3 pm and it seems to be better.

I tried a 5th dose before bed but it didn't seem to help with sleep or

anything so I stopped it. Had just experimented a few days.

Yeah, I should be getting my T3 in about a week so I will see how that goes.

I am expecting I will have to raise my Isocort since I am still not

completely stabilized but I just have to get some T3 in me because my hypo

symptoms have gotten worse since on Isocort.

Re: Safe to Begin T3

Cheri, if I'm remembering correctly, you are, like me, high cortisol in

the morning and other readings low? I believe you have 5 dosing times rather

than 4. I'm thinking I need to add one either early afternoon or late

afternoon. What works for you? I'm definitely looking forward to starting

T3, as it really fit the bill for me when I used it for 2 years. The Armour

didn't quite do it for me as I seem to have a brain deficit of T3. Reply

only if you have time.

Thanks so much,

Pat
