Hello Kim,

The possibility of being permanent may depend on a lot of other factors. The color of your skin, and the depth of shading or pigmentation. When you have stains, is it because that was the area that you scratched. I have stains from that but usually it seems to begin to fade within a few weeks. But I am 46 years old and I am very very pale complexion. I also have had this same thing for 13 years and due to that and my scratching, my collagen level is very low. The elasticity of my skin is pitiful. But no matter how I look, or how my skin is...has no bearing on your skin. This condition is exasperating, scary, painful, and just pisses me off!

But...that doesn't mean that you will have of the same type of problem just because someone else does. This is a symptom of something else in your system. It could in internal, sinus, stress, poor circulation, tumors, cancers, or just a plain old Allergic reaction to something. Usually the UV stuff the doc told you, it is more of a move all over body thing. Which is good in the respect that not just one place takes a beating over and over again.

You should use some Vitamin K gel that will help the puffiness, especially the eyes, and it does help reduce any darkness that may be there. If you are puffy and dark, it's just because the blood is sitting in that area longer because of the swelling. Soaking in the tub with Epsom Salts will help.

Epsom Salts is made of Magnesium and that will help the circulation. Blue or discolored or moveable under the skin areas that look like pools of blood is an indication of low oxygen in those areas. Now usually it's that way at the farthest part to the end of you. I usually keep my feet about my head when laying down. It helps with breathing if you shook any at all. Use creams and massage gently you feel because massaging them (easy) will also help get the blood going.

You may be over this tomorrow. A lot that are here, and still here, have had a different kind of Urticaria, regardless if it's Idiopathic or not. I have been told I have UV, then Cholergnic, then Idiopathic, plus some others.

Pretty much, I don't care what you call it, make it go away. But for long-timers it can be difficult mostly because with this, as you are having, you are exhausted.

If you took away the allergic reactions, a lot of info would be about Fibromyagia and Chronic Fatigue. They admit that they are true disorders and there are some new meds. I'm beyond chronic fatigue, which can be also called dypsnea. My Mamaw would have said, Dog tired.

Testing does seem to be getting better, which may help. Doctors (some) are trying to understand the etiology of this. As I said, you cannot have URT of any form unless you have something else. And the something else could be a hormonal difference. etc. In your age bracket, your body is getting ready for it's normal reaction as God made for reproducing. Your hormones are good and high. Sometimes...in some families,...I saw in a study last week, was they were almost too ready to have babies. And that can be easily checked and treated.

If you get pregnant, then during the pregnancy, you will feel better and even toward the end you will be healthy because all of your homes:

Estrogen

Progesterone

DHEA

Testosterone

are balanced and great. The placenta is what needs the DHEA And Testosterone. Upon delivering a child, those two will plummet. And actually, that can result in baby blues! Following my hysterectomy (left ovaries), I felt as if I could kill someone, I was going crazy, then I started hurting and passed out. I went back into surgery and both ovaries were removed along with lots of cysts that had remained inactive until the stomach was cut open from the first hysterectomy.

You need to take care of yourself and your skin. My daughter is 24. When she was in college, freshman year, she had two breakouts which put her in the hospital as she was dehydrating. I was so very afraid that she would be like me. But, that was all she had and we don't know what triggered them, but she does take of herself, shes going to beat genetics, so to speak.

This is a DUH statement, but try not to worry too much and write down everything. Even if its a hiccup! Even that hiccup can engage hiving for it is a spasm on the nerves sheath. Write it down and don't think just because you have never heard of anything like that it wouldn't happen...

And, one other thing, I'm an insomniac. I can take all the meds and 2 or 3 sleeping pills and still only sleep 4 hours. But...you must rest. You need proper amounts of sleep because, early on, you can hopefully prevent you from not being able to sleep.

I'm on supplements and working for a healthier me, not necessary to not have hives, or prevent hives, but just to be able to live with them!

Best regards, Read and read on this. The usual cut off time is 6 weeks, if you go past that date of breaking out, you may have the deeper rooted URT.

But it's all good. We'll get through this together. Myra, our guru, is a vessel of information just walking around sprinkling her knowledge everywhere!
