Guest guest
Hi , I am very much of a " if ain't broke don't fix it " type of person. So if your are doing something that is working, I would not recommend changing it. If things change then you might want to try some alternatives. I hope others can help with corn starch substitute. Guest guest
, My thought is " if it ain't broke, don't fix it! " If your daughter is gaining and growing on the program she is on, I would keep to it until it doesn't work anymore. You never know, it may even be something Dr. H would use! Let us know what it is! Guest guest
I don't know if Dr H would recommend it but there is an alternative to cornflour I use in cooking called Arrowroot powder. It is available readily here (Australia) and to mix it in juice doesn't change the flavor just the color. (I tried it, lol, but Darcy won't drink it, OR cornflour as it changes the COLOR of the juice ). Jodi/ can we include this in a Dr H question? While we're on the topic, I'm still trying to figure out if 'corn starch' and 'corn flour' are the same thing. Do you use it in cooking to thicken sauces, custards, etc??? can your kinesiologist move over here? only joking. It's 8.30 am and I just got home, I get a bit silly after a 14-hour night shift. Steph ps I REALLY hope we can make it to next year's convention, I am so jealous. > Hi everyone - Does anyone know if Dr. H uses an alternative to corn > starch. My daughter has a corn allergy. Guest guest
I will add your question to the next set I send to Dr. H. As for the cornstarch/flour question, yes, cornstarch is what we use for thickening sauces and custards. I don't know if it is the same thing, though. Maybe we can email www.foodtv.com and ask them! I'll do it tomorrow. Jodi Re: Harbison's program > I don't know if Dr H would recommend it but there is an alternative > to cornflour I use in cooking called Arrowroot powder.
