Guest guest
Some abbreviations that we use when we are talking are: SGA: small for gestational age IUGR: intrauterine growth retardation GH: growth hormone IGF-1: a hormone that is necessary to grow ADD: attention deficit disorder ADHD: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder PDD: pervasive developmental delay (something that Dr. H. is seeing in our RSS kids as they are getting older) PT: physical therapy OT: occupational therapy ST: speech therapy I am keeping a list of the abbreviations that we all tend to use and will someday compile an explanation of all of them. In fact, I think it would be a good thing to address at next year's MAGIC convention. Jodi abbriviations > Please help the uninitiated! What is GR, IUGR etc, etc? > As Ben has only recently been diagnosed I am looking into all > possible treatments and therapies. > As I live in the UK medical routes are different. The vast majority > of treatments are available on the NHS. But as the syndrome is not > widley known I would like to offer this information to my doctor as I > only see my Consultant on a yearly basis. > Is there any members who also live in the UK? > > > > > >
