Kieran won't go to bed without his and neither will Susi Nutt. neither will Joe Pearce. The inventor of this cup is local to us - perhaps I should interview her for the N/L! Guest guest
You couldn't ask them to put a handle on the bigger ones whilst you are at it, so DS can hold it with one hand and I can fasten it to the buggy etc. > > Do you think the makers of anywayup cups know how popular they are as bed > > companions. Guest guest
Mine only really leak when they are in a bag despite being the right way up! Perhaps we should seal them with a suck first! Guest guest
I think you hit the nail on the head there -IME they only leak if A) a child has rammed its fork into the valve (al Sue's Emma) or the valve isn't primed properly by pushing the button down till it stops that hissy squeaky noise... but sucking is an alternative! >Mine only really leak when they are in a bag despite being the right way up! >Perhaps we should seal them with a suck first! >Hmmmm? > >
Guest guest
> Its similar to the Heinz soft spout > cup. My fave cup for Steffi when she was a baby. She started with it at about 5mo and we started with EBM too rather than trying a bottle. Wasn't very successful I think and after that I only used it for water. She used to love shaking it and watching the drops come out...! -- Sue
Guest guest
>I noticed in Tesco's that Avent have a new soft spout >beaker on sale, supposed >to be non leak and from 3 months up. Its similar to the >Heinz soft spout >cup. > Lesley This is the one I was mentioning earlier. It's not like the Heinz soft spouts that I have seen, because the Avent one has a few little rubbery plasticky bits that seal it off - sort of like their pumps - to keep flow going in one direction only. The one we have really doesn't leak (except slightly when flung or shaken hard) and is much easier to drink from than the Anyway Up cups. Another advantage is that you can buy just the spout part and use it with your Avent bottles, if you already have some. (which we don't, so I just got the beaker) A friend of mine did this. If you can't find one, I'll ask her where she found it. If the beakers had handles, I would be even happier with them. Phyllis (no, I don't have stock in Avent) __________________________________________________
