Guest guest
Hi All, I joined the group about a week ago, and have been reading all the posts daily. I am very impressed by the caring and compassion that is shown by all the posters. I have also noticed pretty much everyone here has a good sense of humor, which I feel is an integral asset to have when dealing with MND. While I'm posting, a question: How many of us type with one finger and have to proofread to correct typos as we go along? I know I do! Peace, Mike -- _______________________________________________ http://www.Buffalo.com , WNY's #1 Website Powered by Outblaze
Guest guest
Mike, We do not know how far your disorder has progressed but typing can be of difficulty and fatiguing to those that have the disease a long time. As for my self, my left hand does not work most of the time and as I get fatigued, it gets worse. I'm just happy to be able to read and answer some posts. Some people out here have never had to type or use the computer. We have had to learn new ways and that is not easy with our disorders and ages. Welcome to the group, we can be of great help to one another. Norton Hi There/Typos Hi All, I joined the group about a week ago, and have been reading all the posts daily. Guest guest
I can still type with both hands but very slowly compared to my working days! I also have Dragon NaturallySpeaking software. My hands get very tired on long messages so I use the software. Of course if I'm tired I can't use my voice much either... Never tried my toes??? dale Hi There/Typos > Hi All, > I joined the group about a week ago, and have been reading all the posts daily. > I am very impressed by the caring and compassion that is shown by all the posters. Guest guest
Welcome to you, too, Mike, I have been with the group for a while now and you can always find slomeone with a set of the same problems. I frequerntly have trouble typing but its so much less of a problem than writing or printing that I continue. Some days I don't even correct the errors because I just get tired of it. A lot of people here have the problem so they get used to interpreting. I hope we can help you feel more hopeful. I've had PLS since 96 and diagnosed in 99. After a while some of the weird things you develop cease to even bother you if they're not painful or fast-moving. Regards, Sue Ellen p.s. sorry this is late, I've gotten behind again.
