Guest guest
I've just posted this on the main NTH list too - I have a thyroid ultrasound this week to investigate a largish lump over and to one side of my thyroid cartilage, above the usual thyroid area. My doc thinks it may be a thyroid nodule. It's been apparent since May of this year - before I started adrenal support or thyroid hormone, but hasn't shrunk with subsequent thyroid hormone replacement, either. I have Hashimoto's and a goiter lower down in the usual thyroid area. (I think a fine needle aspiration and biopsy is also on the cards, presumably dependent on the outcome of this ultrasound.) It would be really helpful if anybody with experience of thyroid nodules could give me any tips regarding what I need to ensure the ultrasound person does/looks for, questions I could ask, etc. Thanks, Louise
