I just needed one scan and in all these years my thyroglobulin was below 0.5, but this year it raised to 0.85. Even when this value is considered low (just from 2 it's considered), the endo thought it was wise to do a new scan, wich was negative. But the doctor was worried about the raising, but thanks God it was nothing but a false alarm. From what i understand, yours is below 0.8 but as the doctors said, it grows slowly, so you should be aware of doing your regular tests. Yo solo necesite un solo scan, y durante todos estos años mi tiroglobulina habia estado por menos de 0.5, pero este año subio a 0.85. Aunque este valor es considerado como`poco (solo a partir de 2, es que se considera), el endocrino penso prudente hacerme un nuevo scan, el cual salio negativo; pero el doctor lo que le preocupo fue el aumento, pero gracias a Dios no paso de ser un susto. Por lo que entendi, el tuyo ya esta por debajo de 0.8, lo cual no tendria que implicar que sea recurrencia, pero como te dijeron los doctores el crecimiento es lento, por lo que mantente pendiente de hacerte examenens regulares. I am not an expert, but the doctor is right when he told you that this kind of cancer grows very slow, but as my doctor said, this type of cancer brings many choices that can help you to descart any bad thing, that it is the reason that in my case he preferred to do me an scan, even that my values were within the normal values, but not all the doctors are the same, but it doesn´t mean that the other doctors are not right too. ---> Por si no entiendendiste algo dejame explicarte en español tambien Es un placer para mi ayudarte un poquito. Yo no soy una experta, pero hasta donde yo se este tipo de cancer crece lentamente-, pero mi doctor dice, que con este tipo de cancer hay ofrece muchas opciones para descartar cualquier problema, y con poco riezgo o dolor, es por eso, que en mi caso el prefirio hacerme un scan, sin que ello implicara que mis valores de tiroglobulina estuvieran en los valores normales. Pero no todos los doctores son iguales, pero eso ino implica que los otros doctores no estuvieran tambien en lo correcto.
