I'm asking because my husband has caught another cold, and nothing seems

to be stopping or slowing it.

Could have have cortisol issues himself?

Mo

ps I used to give my son a little h.c for colds etc and now it turns out,

when recently tested, that his cortisol is all over the place.

I personally would be extremely reluctant to give HC to someone who was

not cortisol deficient. Maybe you could try some natural remedies?

What works for us is taking garlic, ginger, and astragalus with every

meal while sick. I know you can find the first two in pill form at Wal-

Mart, but the astragalus you might have to hit a health food store. If

he's just congested, you can also take fresh ginger root from the

grocery store, slice that and boil it in water, then make him drink the

liquid as a tea. REALLY clears your sinuses.

Hope this helps.

In people with healthy adrenals, their adrenals give them lots of extra cortisol

and I doubt it would be a good idea to give them extra to fight a cold.
