I meant " full adrenal fatigue " not " failure. "

Namaste to all from Kathmandu.

I had my first Diagnos-Techs test in the summer of 2005 and was in stage 7,

full adrenal failure.

>>7am 10 13-24 depressed

Noon 1 5-10 depressed

4pm <1 3-8 depressed

I didn't do the late one. fell asleep.

DHEA 2 3-10 depressed

I guess I'm looking for suggestions on how to dose the HC cream and then

Isocort, when it arrives, and then HC pills when they arrive. I have some

DHEA left from when I was 'following doctor's orders' but don't know how

much to take and when.<<

First PLEASE do not post ANY HC sources websites to the list. I will have to go

and delete your post but it has already gone out to all members adn as we have

about 1100 members now and might just be some that would loike to stop our

sources.

1% HC cream contains 10mg Hydrocortisone per 1/4 teaspoon. There is a ramp up

schedule in the files section, you need to graph your temps per www.drrind.com

while you are ramping it up so you can tell when you are high enough. I would

NOT mix HC adn Isocort, Isocort woul probably be a waste of time for you anyway

as your levels are so low.

So sorry about the source reference.

Yes, I know ¼ tsp = 10 mg. I’ve looked at the ramp up schedules… thanks. Is

it a good assumption that all the hydrocortisone will be absorbed into the

blood stream? Should I dose even if I’m going back to sleep? Should I

supplement with DHEA?

I didn’t realize my temps would vary, given that my thyroid seems to be

fine, but I’ll start graphing and see how it goes.

Has anyone else had a similar experience in which you test very low but seem

to do OK?

Thanks,

Ellie

I would take the first dose when you usually wake up, yes even if you are going

back to sleep. I would also think DHEA would be helpful and you might even get a

bit better energy from it. Probabyl 10MG daily. I have seen 1-2 people thta had

veyr bad labs that had adapted their lifestyle ot live with it. Your thyroid is

fine as it is all just sitting in the blood and not getting otthe cells . When

you get a little cortisol in you the blood levels will drop adn show the true

status of your thyroid which is probabyl quite hypothyroid.

Val, this is very interesting... " Your thyroid is fine as it is all just

cortisol in you the blood levels will drop adn show the true status of your

thyroid which is probabyl quite hypothyroid. " I've seen blood pooling

mentioned and need to read more about how having some cortisol in me will

change my cellular thyroid levels. Any suggestions?

Hope you're staying warm. We don't have central heating and it drops to

mid-30s every night!

If yo uhave blood thyroid testing done and saliva testing done while low in

cortisol you will see a huge differnce in labs. It will be MUCH higher in the

blood than the saliva as the slaiva shows tissue levels. Cortiso works like a

doorman in the T3 receptors. Without enough cortilsl the thyroid sitsin theblood

but cannot get through the doors(receptors) into the cells. So in adrena;l

fatigue the blood thyroid levels oftne show a high Free T3 or even over range on

very low doses of thyroid, but the cellular levels as shown in saliva will be

very low. It is the tissues where thyroid does it's work.
