Guest guest
Hi, I am mother of a high functioning autistic boy(6 years old). He is verbal but not fluent in communicating his thoughts( Usually replies in 2-5 word sentences). Some times he takes more than a minute to respond. Is there anyone out there who has an autistic child and tried Fastforward? If so what are the results? Did Fastforward help in gaining either receptive or expressive language skills to any degree? I contacted a provider in my area about the cost of the program. She told me that the cost of the product is $850 and the charge for 50 clinical hours is $2200, plus tax to Scientific learning company. Does it typically cost the same everywhere or the expenses change from provider to provider? Also recently one SLP told me that Fastforward is for improving auditory processing while what most of the autistic children have is problem with language processing ? Can anybody explain me the difference between them? regards Sakuntala.
