Guest guest
I live in England and started A-fibbing three years ago but since then have only had six episodes, three recently. Consultant has me on Sotalol and Aspirin and I am now researching catheter ablation. There seems to be different opinion on its success and safety issues. Has anyone had left atrial or pulmonery vein ablation and what were the results? The consultant tells me that at present there are risks and the procedure for a-fib in the left atrium is not refined and I may be a suitable patient in two years. I am an impatiet patient. I would be grateful for any information. I note that St s and ST s are centres that use CA, anyone with personal experience of these hospitals?
