Guest guest
I don't know about Ballpark, but the Applegate farms hotdogs are all good. They have chicken, turkey and beef ones...I think the beef ones taste just like regular hotdogs. They are all good, though. I think there is another brand called Shelton's that is a health food store one, no preservatives. Never tried that one though.
Guest guest
Applegate Farms make wonderful chicken and turkey hotdogs - I give them to my 2 year old and he loves them. They contain only the meat, some seasonings and water. No nitrates, nitrites, or other incomprehensible things that you have to double/triple check. I know they're available at several HFS in my area. This is a pretty good replacement if you can find them. ( & Malachi's mom)

Guest guest
> I'm concerned about the amount of fat my niece (age 4) is > getting by eating hotdogs everyday. I just bought Ballpark smoked > white turkey franks and wonder if they're o.k. > Ingredients - turkey white meat, dextrose, salt, modified corn > starch, maltodextrin, corn syrup, potassium lactate, cultured corn > syrup, potassium phosphate, soy protein concentrate. I plan to call > them next week also. Any comments? Maltodextrin (barley malt?) and Potassium lactate sound like trouble. Better call! Let us know what happens, we don't have access to Applegate here.
Guest guest
I love them!!! they are the only kind I eat now! I fry them though, never boil then - the chicken ones are much better than the turkey
Guest guest
We really enjoy the Shelton's turkey hotdogs - we also like their turkey sausage links and patties, and we get their fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving & Christmas and find them delicious. I also like that their poultry is free-range and hormone & antibiotic-free. Here's their website - http://www.sheltons.com/enter.tpl
